Home With a Heart is a program created by Elaine Bond, a parent herself, with the philosophy of helping others to help themselves. It’s uniqueness pertains to ensuring that parents develop self confidence and parenting skills within the comfort of their own environment, prior to making them face all the external societal pressures. If the home foundation is solid, then a parent’s contribution to society is going to be more focused in the present, and more influential in generations to come. The program has blended practical common-sense knowledge that, unfortunately, is not all that common, with a compassionate and loving sense of servant hood. It communicates not only how to survive, but also how to thrive, in a world that is less than kind to parents.

A word from our Home With a Heart facilitators:
We have been enjoying building relationships with our clients in a relaxed, friendly environment. It has been interesting to see the realization that they are capable of making positive changes in their lives and their homes. God has been blessing our time together with friendship, fellowship and lots of laughter, as we strive to build their confidence in their own abilities and gently guide and direct as needed. We feel very blessed and thankful to be a part of this work! ~ Gayle Davis & Lana Arbour
I enjoyed the companionship, support and encouragement through this course. I was challenged to get my drivers license which I was able to do. I was also able to accomplish some small goals such as making my bed on a daily basis and keeping our room clean. ~ Donna (HWAH participant)
